The Problem
In March 2022, AOK Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical was referred to Inception Digital Pro from another of our clients to help him with his search engine ranking. He was with another company from North Carolina for several years, but was unsure how his website was performing. After performing a digital marketing checkup, we realized, among other issues, that their previous company was providing their website traffic in “page views”, which seriously overinflates actual website traffic (one visitor could visit the HOME PAGE, then the ABOUT US page, then the FURNACE REPAIR page, the REVIEWS page, then finally the CONTACT page, which is actually only one visit, but 5 page views!). In addition, they were also paying for SEO, and after several years with this company, they were ranking on page 1 of Google for only nine key phrases in his service area.
The Solution
We recommended building a brand new website and to invest $600/month for 4 months on Search Engine Optimization. Understandably, he was reluctant to switch companies, but the other company was dramatically increasing their rates and the company that had referred him to us was a long-standing colleague of theirs. He liked what he heard and he also appreciated that we were local and knew his service area and signed on with us on March 21st.

The website got built, approved and launched by April 26th. The client loved the look and feel of the new site and really wanted it to start becoming more of an asset of his HVAC Company.
We started on the SEO right away. Even ‘fresh-out-of-the-box”, the new website was ranking better than the old one. We kept tabs on the placement of the site for over 150 keyphrases. Within less than 3 months, we had GB Electric ranking ON PAGE ONE for 44 keyphrases around his service area. Many of which, he previously wasn’t ranking in the top 10 pages for.
The client was very happy. Not only was his new website beautiful, content-rich and easily navigable, but he was ranking for STRONG keywords in the Geo’s he wanted to attract business from. He noticed a difference almost immediately and called me to let me know he was getting 2 service calls A DAY from his site, up from 1 service call A WEEK from his previous website.
VAST IMPROVEMENT IN GOOGLE 3-PACK VISIBILITY
Aside from the on-site SEO we completed on the website, we also employed off-site SEO to help AOK Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical rank better in local searches in Google Maps & Google Search (formerly Google My Business). Within 3 months, we saw a good increase in Google 3 pack appearances and a 200% year over year increase in actions.
During this time, we also focused on off-page SEO to ensure he showed up well in the Google Maps and Google Search 3-pack. This increased not only his search views, but resulted in a year over year increase of over 200% in actions from his Google Profile
